Volunteer Position: Event Video Producer & Editor

Event: Golden Paw Gala

Heartland Animal Shelter needs a creative, technical-minded volunteer to bring our story to life on screen for our upcoming Golden Paw Gala. As our Event Video Producer, you will oversee the video creation process from concept to final export, producing a compelling video that highlights our shelter's impact and engages our supporters.

Key Responsibilities

• Production: Plan, shoot, and capture high-quality video footage and crisp audio of shelter animals, staff, and key stakeholders.
• Editing: Cut, assemble, and edit raw footage into a cohesive, emotionally resonant narrative.
• Post-Production: Perform basic audio balancing, color correction, and title/graphic integration.
• Final Export: Deliver fully mastered, high-resolution digital video files optimized for big-screen gala projection and web sharing.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with video production equipment (cameras, lighting, external audio gear).
• Proficiency in professional video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve).
• Strong storytelling skills with a keen eye for visual pacing, framing, and tone.
• Ability to work independently, manage project timelines, and meet event production deadlines.
• Passion for animal welfare and Heartland's mission.
