Job Title: Crew Chief Job Description

Lead and supervise a field survey crew on assigned projects. Perform boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, as-built, and construction layout surveys. Operate and maintain survey equipment including GPS, total stations, data collectors, and robotic instruments. Collect, verify, and document field data accurately.

• Coordinate daily activities, schedules, and site logistics for survey operations.
• Ensure all survey work is completed in accordance with project requirements and company standards.
• Review field notes and survey data for accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate with Project Managers, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding project progress.
• Maintain survey vehicles, equipment, and supplies.
• Enforce company safety procedures and participate in job site safety meetings.

• Proficiency in survey, surveying, and topography.
• Experience with land surveying and construction layout.
• Ability to conduct topographic surveys and use total stations.
• Knowledge of land survey techniques and Leica equipment.

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.

This position involves on-site work with a company-provided vehicle, which can be taken home or dropped off at the office. The role offers overtime pay and covers travel time to the job site.

This is a Permanent position based out of Jersey City, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
